A Touch of the Irish
Irish storytelling, dance and music is featured at Michigan Story Festival, October 23, 2005.
Mount Pleasant, MI (PRWEB) October 16, 2004 -- Enjoy the gift of the gab but find a trip to Ireland is a bit extravagant? Discover the blarney closer to home at the performance of Faces of Ireland" on Saturday, October 23 at 10:45 a.m. in Mount Pleasant. Part of the Michigan Story Festival, the show at ArtReach, 319 S. University, features vivacious Celtic storyteller Yvonne Healy.
Healy is said not to have merely kissed the Blarney Stone but to have swallowed it. An immigrant herself, this 2004 Storyteller of the Year finalist grew up in America before acting professionally in New Yorks theaters and soap operas. Writing tales both comic and mysterious, Healy talks her way across America. Healys work earned the highest awards from National Parenting Publications Association, Americas Story Festival and Childrens Music Organization and is selected for Michigan Arts & Humanities Touring Program.
Watch Healy perform online at http://www.YHealy.com. See for yourself whether, as one fan proclaims, Yvonnes an Irish pixie of a performer!"
