Announcement of the Celebrity and Education Spokespersons who will lead the 2005 celebrations for National Dance Week
(PRWEB) October 16, 2004 -- An announcement for National Dance Week 2005 has been made that the world famous Radio City Rockettes® will be the national Celebrity Spokespersons and Frank Hatchett will serve as the national Education Spokesperson. NDW will be celebrated from April 22 through May 1, 2005 and Delegates are presently being registered to head up the thousands of events and activities held annually throughout the United States. The Rockettes® will bring a national presence to NDW that spans all dance types and certainly reaches all age groups, preferences and styles. As the legendary acclaim of this American group continues to expand its visibility throughout the fifty states, it's most appropriate that they carry the title of national Celebrity Spokespersons for NDW and Mr. Hatchett brings to his title the tremendous respect and acclaim of the entire American dance education community.
NDW has already launched the preparatory phase for the 2005 celebrations and at the same time, is launching several new programs as well as expanding past ones. The new international pen pal exchange program has been announced and will shortly be made available through the NDW website and the already successful Virtual Kickline will continue to serve as the impetus for dance students, teachers, and all interested parties to be involved. The Daily Drawings which were awarded during the 2004 NDW dates will be repeated for 2005 and the public is invited to join their names with those dance professionals and amateurs, alike, who have already signed on to extend the website's Kickline to ever greater proportions.
National Dance Week, which is backed by the United Dance Merchants of America, celebrates the contributions that dance makes to our culture, and seeks to heighten awareness to the fact that dance benefits the mind, body, and spirit. NDW encourages everyone to get involved in dance at any level and in any capacity, to utilize dance in efforts to make a difference in community endeavors.
