Sedona Artist Finds Himself Up Against A Wall
Sedona artist Devi Jaya DeLavie (formerly known as Dan Miner) has finally created a way to bring together his Renaissance mentality and his forty-something years as a creator in most disciplines of the visual and performing arts. His latest endeavor is called simply Walls Faux You ".
Camp Verde, AZ (PRWEB) October 19, 2004 --- For more than forty years Devi has become a professional in myriad disciplines. He is a theatrical set designer and builder, a sculptor, painter, woodworker, furniture maker, writer, actor and director. He is also an accomplished architectural designer and has built many of his ideas and designs, with his own two hands, from the ground up.
What I really love is painting and sculpture. Ive been quite successful with it in the past, but art as a way of life, is a sometimes fickle ferry across the waters of life. When I got married and had new responsibilities, my choice was to go back into construction where I knew I could make a good living." Devi explains. Ive been concentrating on home remodeling and interior design for the majority of the last ten years or so, and I just got to the point where I could not put on that tool-belt one more time."
Having built a small financial buffer, Devi and his wife mutually decided that there must be a way of doing the painting, sculpture, set design and furniture making that he loved and still make a dependable living.
I noticed some ads in the paper for people doing faux finishing and murals. I can do that and a hundred times more." he smiles. I can create entire Themed Interiors. Not just murals, but complete environments, right down to custom furniture and accessories. Its permanent theatre for the home. Imagine the possibilities!
