New York, NY (PRWEB) October 19, 2004
Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mike Gallagher is taking his show to State College, PA this Friday, October 22, 2004 in response to liberal filmmaker Michael MooreÂs highly paid visit to Penn State University. While Moore appears across campus as part of his ÂSlacker Uprising Tour Gallagher will be hosting a premiere of ÂFahrenHYPE9/11 as an alternative for Penn State students.
The Mike Gallagher Show, heard on more than 170 stations nationwide, will be broadcast from the Holiday Inn Express on Waddle Road in State College. The public is invited to attend the live broadcast of the daily show from 9:00AM Â12:00PM EST. Upon hearing that MooreÂs visit was costing more than $30,000., with a portion of that coming from the University Park Allocation Committee, Gallagher signaled his Âtroops to respond to his plans to raise Â$30,000.00 and a penny to support the troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gallagher and his non-profit ÂGallagherÂs Army have been responsible for sending more than 70,000 care packages to the troops serving overseas.
Gallagher said, ÂWhile Michael Moore pockets his big speaking fees and continues to criticize our troops, our donations will show the men and women serving our country that the sacrifices they make daily are still appreciated by most Americans.Â
WKPS, The Lion 90.7 FM is the student operated on-campus radio station at Penn State University. The host of the late afternoon "Radio Free Penn State", Andy Nagypal, would like to have both Gallagher and Moore appear on his 5:00-6:00 PM show. ÂI plan to be in the WKPS studio at 5:00PM  with or without Michael Moore, says Gallagher. ÂIf Michael Moore really wants to talk with the students of Penn State, heÂll show up and discuss the issues important to them and not some scripted production he has hired expensive writers to prepare for him, Gallagher added.
Mike GallagherÂs ÂHollywood style premiere showing of FahrenHYPE9/11 will begin at 9:00PM on Friday night at 100 Thomas Building on the PSU campus. Parking will be available in the Eisenhower Parking Deck adjacent to the Thomas Building.
