Health Savings Accounts Change to Vanguard Funds

Health savings accounts opened through OnlineAdviser that are invested in Fidelity Funds will change to Vanguard Group effective immediately. The fees are lower, in general, and the investment choices are increased.

(PRWEB) October 20, 2004 -- OnlineAdviser announces that health savings accounts administered by Health Savings Administrators L.L.C. has changed its mutual fund affiliation from Fidelity Funds to Vanguard Group effective immediately. All existing mutual fund accounts will be transferred to the new fund group.

The change brings several advantages to account holders:
1) the expense ratio of Vanguard Funds is 64% lower than the Fidelity Funds
2) the number of choices of funds is increased from 10 Fidelity Funds to 15 with Vanguard Funds
3) the administrators fee remains the same -- only 0.25% of assets. In addition, there will be no fee for the current calendar quarter during the account transition.

Existing account holders will have their accounts updates and transferred automatically unless they notify the administrator. New customers will be given the new list of fund choices online beginning this week.

The new mutual fund choices through Vanguard Group (with expense rations) are:

Morgan Growth (.36)
Strategic Equity (.50)
Small-Cap Index (.27)
Total International Stock (.36)
Wellington (.36)
Total Bond Market Index (.22)
Prime Money Fund
Med Cap Growth (.63)
Explorer (.72)
Extended Market Index (.26)
Selected Value (.78)
Windsor (.43)
Total Stock Market Index (.20)

These accounts are commonly paired with qualifying health insurance from Celtic (www.celticenrollment.com) for Celicare plans or Assurant Health(www.freedombenefits.net) for Fortis Health plans
