Discrete Technologies Launches SecureDisc 1.1

Streamlined version automatically records encrypted images on CD and DVD.

Discrete Technologies has released the latest version of SecureDisc – the newest product in their suite of disc productivity tools. SecureDisc allows organizations to control access to sensitive, confidential, proprietary or classified information stored on CD and DVD media. Today’s information security concerns demand stronger protection and SecureDisc is an effective solution for compliance with such information privacy mandates as HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley and Gramm-Leach-Bliley.

SecureDisc is the only product that may be used with the most popular authoring software and recorders to encrypt and automatically write ISO and UDF images to CD and DVD. The software is easy to install and use and does not require previous experience with encryption technology. Once recorded, an encrypted disc is accessible only by SecureDisc client decryption software and the correct password. Rather than encrypting files and folders, SecureDisc encrypts at the raw format level using the 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption algorithm.

SecureDisc is an affordable solution; pricing is based on a per-server, rather than per-seat, basis.
