It has been confirmed that RCAM Provost, Professor Joseph Chikelue Obi FRCAM FRIPH FACAM , has politely turned down a Top National Honour from an Exceedingly Controversial African President.
The distinguished award was reported to have been graciously tendered in profound recognition of Professor Obi's unflinching ongoing struggle to comprehensively integrate African Traditional Medicine (ATM) into the ever-growing field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM).
Before Professor Joseph Chikelue Obi assumed office as RCAM Provost , not much was ethically known about ATM ; but thanks to him it is now extremely popular amongst Europeans , Americans and Africans alike.
No reasons were (or will be) given for his decison.
