Salesboom.com Billing & Invoicing Functionality to Reshape On-Demand CRM

Salesboom.com, industry leading provider of OnDemand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) services today announced that its new On-Demand Billing & Invoicing Automation feature is scheduled to be deployed to its current customer base within the next week. The new feature, which was included in Salesboom’s recent release of Salesboom.com Version 4.0, is touted by the company to be the biggest addition to its CRM / SFA services yet. The new Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will include tools to automate essential invoice functionality such as generating the invoice from the customer account information, keeping track of recurring billing cycles and terms, fully linking into the Salesboom Product Database, and even an automated system to send invoices to customers electronically.

The new feature, which is purported to replace traditional invoicing software, is available in Salesboom’s low-cost On Demand deployment model, making it accessible and affordable for all true Small-Medium sized Businesses (SMBs) to utilize in conjunction with the traditional Salesboom.com OnDemand CRM / SFA services. Continuing its long standing “Zero Software” promise, Salesboom consistently deploys features which are more functional and applicable to its user base than any other comparable alternative available. In a truly on-demand world, the Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will be available and accessible any time, from anywhere a computer with the internet is available. The On-Demand Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will include a wide array of tools and controls that one would typically look for in an integrated back-end solution, such as a traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application. While Salesboom is still easily considered a mostly Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) application, it doesn’t appear to be stopping the addition of some key ERP features to the service. The OnDemand Billing & Invoicing Automation tool will give users sweeping controls to automate the entire invoice generation process, amongst other things. Universal tax rules can be setup to allow automatic tax calculation, with a fully customizable ‘rules and exceptions’ options menu to allow a truly global utilization. The Billing & Invoicing Automation module ties in seamlessly with the Salesboom product database, allowing Salesboom users to create real-time invoices with locked in Products, complete with their descriptions and prices. A discount system is also available, for an individual item on the invoice or across the invoice as a whole. Salesboom customers utilizing the On-Demand Billing & Invoicing tool will also be able to easily store pertinent information such as the billing cycle length, due date, payment terms, billing cycle terms and payment information. There is also the option of sending the invoice automatically via electronic mail, or generating a printable invoice to print and send a hard copy of. But best of all, the proper checks and balances are fully integrated, making Accountants’ lives everywhere much easier. The invoicing system requires someone with proper permissions to “sign-off” on all pending invoices before they are sent out and activated in the Salesboom infrastructure. Furthermore, all invoices (after being sent) are automatically archived in a ‘read-only’ format to preserve the legality of the electronic documents and avoid tampering.
