Billing & Invoicing Functionality to Reshape On-Demand CRM

Share Article, industry leading provider of OnDemand Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) services today announced that its new On-Demand Billing & Invoicing Automation feature is scheduled to be deployed to its current customer base within the next week. The new feature, which was included in Salesboom’s recent release of Version 4.0, is touted by the company to be the biggest addition to its CRM / SFA services yet. The new Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will include tools to automate essential invoice functionality such as generating the invoice from the customer account information, keeping track of recurring billing cycles and terms, fully linking into the Salesboom Product Database, and even an automated system to send invoices to customers electronically.

The new feature, which is purported to replace traditional invoicing software, is available in Salesboom’s low-cost On Demand deployment model, making it accessible and affordable for all true Small-Medium sized Businesses (SMBs) to utilize in conjunction with the traditional OnDemand CRM / SFA services. Continuing its long standing “Zero Software” promise, Salesboom consistently deploys features which are more functional and applicable to its user base than any other comparable alternative available. In a truly on-demand world, the Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will be available and accessible any time, from anywhere a computer with the internet is available. is also available in an Off-line edition format as well.

“Billing & Invoicing Automation is another step in broadening the horizons of the on-demand CRM / SFA market,” Justin Webster, VP of Business Development commented. “With this new feature, your traditional Small-Medium sized Business (SMB) can affordably replace their legacy invoicing software solution, and receive a fully integrated Billing & Invoicing solution with our low-cost CRM / SFA service. The value is incredible, and it continues Salesboom’s goal of fully integrating front and back end solutions in one, all-inclusive package for an unbeatable price.”

The On-Demand Billing & Invoicing Automation feature will include a wide array of tools and controls that one would typically look for in an integrated back-end solution, such as a traditional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application. While Salesboom is still easily considered a mostly Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) application, it doesn’t appear to be stopping the addition of some key ERP features to the service. The OnDemand Billing & Invoicing Automation tool will give users sweeping controls to automate the entire invoice generation process, amongst other things. Universal tax rules can be setup to allow automatic tax calculation, with a fully customizable ‘rules and exceptions’ options menu to allow a truly global utilization. The Billing & Invoicing Automation module ties in seamlessly with the Salesboom product database, allowing Salesboom users to create real-time invoices with locked in Products, complete with their descriptions and prices. A discount system is also available, for an individual item on the invoice or across the invoice as a whole. Salesboom customers utilizing the On-Demand Billing & Invoicing tool will also be able to easily store pertinent information such as the billing cycle length, due date, payment terms, billing cycle terms and payment information. There is also the option of sending the invoice automatically via electronic mail, or generating a printable invoice to print and send a hard copy of. But best of all, the proper checks and balances are fully integrated, making Accountants’ lives everywhere much easier. The invoicing system requires someone with proper permissions to “sign-off” on all pending invoices before they are sent out and activated in the Salesboom infrastructure. Furthermore, all invoices (after being sent) are automatically archived in a ‘read-only’ format to preserve the legality of the electronic documents and avoid tampering.

By offering an extremely robust offering, which competes head to head in functionality with traditional invoice software, Salesboom hopes to entice more Small-Medium sized Businesses (SMBs) by offering the more desirable backend functionality traditionally found in ERP related offerings, integrated fully into the already broad, highly valued Customer Relationship Management (CRM) / Sales Force Automation (SFA) services. This gives the SMB a much higher value in the one service offering, while eliminating extra costs for some previously necessary backend software.

“We’re extremely impressed with the on-demand Billing & Invoicing Automation functionality,” commented Rami Hamodah, President and Co-Founder of Salesboom. “But I think the biggest part of this is how much additional savings this means for smaller businesses. We’re effectively integrating traditionally backend ERP software into our CRM / SFA application; and continuing down this road into the future is going to mean tremendous savings and huge ROI for our customers. Salesboom shouldn’t be looked at as an expense – it’s a small investment directly into the foundation of your business, with huge returns.”

Continuing with a push further into the ERP side of things, the Salesboom On-Demand CRM / SFA services will compete head to head with traditional ERP solutions such as offerings from SAP, PeopleSoft or Siebel. Features such as Inventory Management, or even a foray into basic Accounting features will be examined in the future. The service is also showing a bright future, with a huge influx of new customers being seen migrating to the new Salesboom version 4.0 service offering. This is likely attributed at least in part to the fact that the price point-of-entry is under $8.50 per user per month; which outclasses just about every other On Demand CRM provider in the market by a large margin.

The On-Demand Billing & Invoicing Automation tool will be deployed to all existing customers within the coming weeks. For more information, interested parties are requested to contact Salesboom directly at 1.877.CRM.SALE or via e-mail at More information is also available at the company’s website;
