A Passionate Beginning for Passionate "Pretender" Fans
Fans of "The Pretender" all over the world have begun in earnest their campaign to get another Pretender movie.
(PRWEB) October 25, 2004 -- It has begun. Campaign Third Pretender Movie is underway. With slogans like "United We Stand" and "Persistence Pays," Pretender fans all over the globe are uniting for a cause that is dear to their hearts. The cause: a third and final Pretender movie, a conclusion of all that went before, some much-needed closure, and... if you please, make Jarod and Miss Parker live happily ever after. With the supporting Yahoo group appropriately titled "FrustratedPretenderFans" as campaign central, a small group of Passionate Pretender fans are coordinating the latest effort to get the PTBs to see the light and make a third and final "Pretender" movie.
With encouragement gained from news that the stars who play Miss Parker (Andrea Parker) and Mr. Lyle (James Denton) are willing to do a third movie, campaign TPM group members are doing all they can to bring in the numbers and fight for their dream.
With not just one but two campaign petitions online, (hosted by PetitionOnline and GoPetition) pledges aren't pouring in at lightening speed but they're slowly but surely collecting towards the pledge target of 24 million from 1 million fans. Campaign TPM's managers believe there are at least one million fans out there so they are spreading the word to achieve their target number of pledges. Pledges are even coming in different denominations but this is not a deterrent according to campaign TPM organisers who are much more concerned with securing an audience with the so-called PTBs to voice their requests. For this they are hoping to enlist the help of Oprah with her "Harpo Hookup." Other campaign activities which will soon begin include the consistent and synchronized emailing and snail-mailing to the PTBs by all fans individually. For now, the fans are content to plan their attack and wait for the right moment to pull out all the stops. Not all fans are joining in, however, some adopting a "wait and see" attitude to the whole endeavour. But the diehard fans are committed all the way and inspire each other with their infectious optimism. Can their dream be made real? They believe it can.
