San Antonios Top Personal Trainers Encourage Individuals to Make Their Own Comeback"

Down three games to none to the New York Yankees, the Boston Red Sox became the first major sports team to overcome that deficit as they battled back to win the American League Championship series to show that it is never too late for hard work to pay off. In San Antonio, Certified Personal Trainers Melissa Gable and Boyd Myers believe that the Red Sox have proven that it is never too late to make your own comeback.

(PRWEB) October 23, 2004 -- All too often, it seems that many Americans refer to their glory years as being behind them, and rarely in front of them. Local fitness gurus Boyd Myers and Melissa Gable teach their clients every day that the best is yet to come.

"Its very easy to look back and say 'When I was a few years younger, I had a flat stomach and never became tired. I love showing people that no matter how young or how old you are, it is never too late to get in incredible shape," states Boyd Myers, who at 28 years old has trained over 300 different clients ranging from NFL superstars to senior citizens. You just have to make the decision that youre not going to use your current condition or age as an excuse not to make a change."

Today more than ever, people are realizing that it is not too late to begin a fitness routine. All across the United States, individuals in the Over 40 Club" are participating in workout programs, aerobics classes, and even fitness competitions.

Its never too late to start or start back on a workout program," says Melissa Gable, Certified Personal Trainer and 2003 Ms. Fitness Las Vegas. The hardest step is the first one, but once you get moving, it isnt very hard to continue moving forward. Ive had several clients that never touched a weight until well after forty and fifty years old and they were still able to achieve incredible results."

Both Myers and Gable agree that motivation, body sculpting, disease management, and smoking cessation are some of the most popular reasons that people seek assistance from personal trainers. Both train independently at Reds Gym in San Antonio, and Myers also owns his own private personal training studio.

Sometimes it can hard to get out of a rut. But remember that the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth of the hole," says Gable. Exercise helps you live longer and it reduces the chance of poor health as we age, which can end up being very expensive. There are absolutely no negatives to a regular exercise routine."

Myers uses the recent Red Sox victory in the ALCS as an analogy for those who are trying to find the motivation to begin an exercise program.

The Boston Red Sox could have very easily given up and let the Yankees win the series, but they decided to do something about it," says Myers. With fitness, all you have to do is decide that you do want to get in shape and that you are willing to put forth the effort to have your own 'come from behind victory."
