Lottery Results Now Delivered to Cell Phones
SMS Media Group Inc. (SMSMG) goes live with a new text messaging service that distributes nationwide state lottery results to mobile phones.
(PRWEB) October 23, 2004 -- SMS Media Group Inc. (SMSMG) goes live with a new text messaging service that distributes nationwide state lottery results to mobile phones. The service is made possible through a strategic relationship with Games Inc. (OTC BB:GMSI), a leading provider of lottery and games content.
The new text alert service is being offered to North American cell phone subscribers. Approximately 200 games in some 40 states and Canada are now available for Lottery.com and SMSMG.com users to sign up to. To obtain the alerts, users must subscribe using a confirmed opt-in process that authenticates their cell phone.
The service is free for subscribers to receive, with the exception of messaging fees a carrier may charge. The lottery results will include sponsorship at the bottom of the messages. SMSMG has an exclusive advertising representation arrangement with Games to offer the ad space to companies that wish to reach the high-end mobile phone audience.
SMSMG uses its SMSdelivery.net messaging platform and Ads2Cell mobile ad-serving technology to provide the text alerts and drop the advertisements onto the messages. "Several advertisers have already signed on to participate. The cell phone is the last best place to advertise, and companies are looking to be a part of it," says Gary Brooks, President of SMSMG.
