Batmans Mom Comes to Gotham City

Sexy, award-winning actress Sara Stewart who plays Martha Wayne in Warner Brothers Batman Begins will be making two guest appearances in New York City over Halloween.

(PRWEB) October 26, 2004 -- Sara Stewart joins director Robert Pratten at New Yorks famous TWO BOOTS PIONEER THEATRE for a public screening of LONDON VOODOO at 7pm Friday 29th October. Tickets $9 at the box office. The film screens as part of Two Boots season of award-winning horror films.

Sara and Robert will also be at the Chiller Theatre Expo – the East Coasts largest fantasy & horror convention – on Saturday 30th between 2pm & 4pm at the Heretic Films dealer table. The two will be signing copies of the London Voodoo DVD. Tickets for the Expo are $20.

LONDON VOODOO is the debut feature film of writer/director, Robert Pratten and tells the story of an American family that emigrates to England and disintegrates into Londons disturbing past. Sara Stewart stars in the lead role as the wife & mother who becomes possessed by an ancient voodoo spirit. The films original soundtrack has been created by Siouxsie & The Banshees Steven Severin.

LONDON VOODOO has won six international festival awards including BEST DIRECTOR & BEST ACTING (Fearless Tales Genre Fest), BEST FEATURE (Festival of Fantastic Films, UK), JURY AWARD for BEST FEATURE (Boston International Film Festival).

The film has received great reviews by film critics and fans who feel it signals a return to the glory days of horror when the story was more important that the special effects. Robert Pratten comments: "Forget whatever you think you know about voodoo films because this one is a million miles from anything you've seen before. It's an entertaining, scary and thought-provoking movie about a marriage breakdown caused by a husband's ambition and exacerbated by supernatural events. It's a creepy, eerie film with moments we can all relate to - the balancing of work and family life, the anxieties of moving to a new home and days when things just don't go right."
