Artists Meet Art Collectors in Gallery's Bubble Bath

How Do You Get A World Artist Into A Bubble Bath?

Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) October 23, 2004 -- There's a new way for artists and their collectors to meet these days. In the historic district of Santa Fe, New Mexico on famous Canyon Road, Lys Anzia, director of new gallery, ZINO contemporary, has come up with a solution, a wet solution. Put the artist in a bubble bath. Let them soak, drink good champagne, eat good caviar, sit back, relax and receive their guests.

"Art collectors love this," says Anzia, "It's the best way to break the ice. You can really get to know someone well in only a few seconds when you sit with them in the bathtub. The bubbles help too. I've told everyone they'll have bubbles up to their chin."

How do you get a world artist into a bubble bath?

The artists at ZINO contemporary are glad to cooperate. International artist, August Highland, says, "Just keep the water warm." Painter and award winning documentary filmmaker, Vanessa Hedwig Smith, who has shown in galleries from London to New York to New Delhi, India is looking forward to relaxing in the tub to meet her guests. Pastel artist, Riva Sweetrocket, known for her mammoth pastels of food objects, said at first, "I don't know about this. How high are the bubbles?"

The bubble bath reception is in Santa Fe, New Mexico at ZINO contemporary's two hundred year old adobe gallery 5 - 9 pm Friday Nov. 12. They are expecting over 500 people to attend.
