(PRWEB) October 23, 2004 -- To mark the launch of UCMAS in the United States, UC MAS USA has arranged a special launch event to be held at the Four Points by Sheraton in Sunnyvale, California on Sunday 24th October 2004.

Reporters and photographers are invited to attend this event and other scheduled events, which will be attended by Mr. Dino Wong Hoon Wan, who developed the concept of UC MAS in Malaysia. In order to benefit the children in Malaysia, Mr. Wong Hoon Wan, formed the Academy of "Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System" (UC MAS) in 1993, and leading a group of competent associates, built the mighty mental arithmetic dominion in Malaysia. In accordance with the 4 principles of the academy: "to take care of and to encourage, to lead and to educate", UC MAS has opened more than 300 learning centers throughout Malaysia within 10 years.

UCMAS USA is conducting demos is various cities across the US, including, San Francisco bay area, Dallas, Houston, Raleigh, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Huntsville, and Orlando. These demos are geared to provide students, parents, educators, and franchisees more information about the programs. At this event you will witness demos by visiting students from Malaysia mentally solve some amazing mathematical calculations without the aid of calculators and also demonstrate their memory technique abilities.

In 2001, UC MAS (Malaysia) was awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems certificate by BM Trada (UK).
