Billiards Table Retailer Leverages Internet to Reach New Customers

Plainville, CT retailer Gamesters Billiards started a website several years ago to differentiate his store from his local competition. Now, even the internet landscape is competitive within the world of selling pool tables, poker tables and other gaming tables.

Gamesters Billiards had a simple goal: “I wanted to use the website to find a few more buyers for my pool tables. Now it’s one of my main revenue generators,” said Gamesters owner George Gabriel. “It’s allowing me to have more time and energy to focus on a new market segment of people looking to outfit their luxurious homes with high end poker tables, pool tables and other game tables – people who may not be willing to drive down to the store, or who may live 2000 miles away.

George lists hundreds of models of pool tables and poker tables on his web site, but he has recently expanded his lines to include home bars, gaming supplies and more. “We carry a diverse product line, with a large number of felt options and also many accessories. Most of our poker tables are available in a full set with chairs” he added.

“I use the internet to reach more people,” he states, “it’s an old story and you’ve heard it a million times, but it’s really helped me differentiate my business.” George hopes to continue expanding his offerings and upgrading his website to take advantage of ever changing technology advancements. His website, http://www.4gamesters.com, achieves success through simplicity of design and depth of information. Shipping is globally available and installation is available through the vast network of installation professionals that Gamesters uses.
