Wanted: American Soldiers Dead or Alive

New feature film to bring the untold stories of American soldiers to the big screen.

(PRWEB) October 26, 2004 -- A new documentary film titled An American Soldier has started a national campaign to locate thousands of American soldiers who have gone to war and would like the opportunity to tell their story to the world. Not only are the filmmakers calling on active duty military currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also for veterans who have fought in every war in the last century. Family members of soldiers who have lost their lives on the front lines are being asked to come forward to tell their story as well.

We are looking for the stories that soldiers have been too afraid, embarrassed, or ashamed to tell" states the films producer Aaron Mighty. We want the stories from those of extreme tragedy to the greatest acts of heroism." The film will aim to capture a compelling viewpoint of the American soldier, the lives they have led during and after war, and how they have paid the ultimate sacrifice to shape American society and world culture.

An American Soldier will not play on politics or hold any biases about the state of the nation today. This will be the first endeavor by the film industry to capture such a perspective. The production will visit past and present battlefields interviewing living soldiers and family members of those who fought victoriously in battle and walked silently in defeat. The film will be a tribute dedicated to all American soldiers who have fought for our freedoms and liberties in America.

The filmmakers are hoping that local and national media outlets will help spread the word of the search to find veterans from every branch of the military, especially those who fought in World War I. A special website, www.AnAmericanSoldierMovie.com, has been set up for any America soldier wishing to share their story and be a part of this documentary.
