The oldest Personal Computer PC show and sale in the world, now in its 30th year will return ÂhomeÂ to The College of New Jersey for the collegeÂs 150th anniversary. The show will be held on April 16th and 17th, 2005. The Trenton Computer Festival (TCF) includes indoor commercial exhibits, outdoor computer & electronics flea market and over a hundred educational seminars, forums and exhibits on a wide range of computer related topics. The show has returned to its ÂrootsÂ having been held in recent years at the New Jersey Convention Center in Edison.
TCF was created, in 1976, by Sol Libes, of the Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey and Dr. Allen Katz, of The College of New Jersey as an annual educational event with speakers, forums, and user group meetings, an exhibitor area and an outdoor flea market. Today a non-profit educational corporation consisting of the sponsoring organizations operate the festival. The show is managed by PC Shows, Inc.
The following organizations sponsor TCF: The Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey, The College of New Jersey, The New York Amateur Computer Club, The Computer Education Society of Philadelphia, the Princeton Central Jersey Section of the IEEE and its ACM/IEEE Computer Society chapter.
The College of New Jersey is located on Route 31 in Ewing Township, New Jersey just a few miles south of Interstate 95. There is on site parking for over 10,000 cars. The indoor exhibits will be located in the Student Recreation Center, the Speaker Sessions will be in various campus classrooms (including The Student Center), and the outdoor computer and electronics flea market will be held in the student parking lot.
Festival hours on Saturday April 16th are 10 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday April 17th show hours are 10 AM until 4 PM. The flea market will open both days at 9:00 AM and will be held Ârain or shineÂ.
