'Its a Wonderful Life' Kicks Off Philadelphia's Holiday Season at Americas Oldest Community Theatre
Plays & Players celebrates the holiday season with a production of Its a Wonderful Life" by James W. Rogers. Performance will run Thursdays, December 16, January 6 and 13 at 7pm; Fridays December 10 and 17, January 7 and 14 at 7pm; Saturday, December 11 at 7pm only; Saturdays, December 18, January 8 and 15 at 2pm and 7pm; and Sundays, December 12 and 19, January 9 and 16 at 2pm. Cookies and milk with Santa will be featured after the 2pm shows on December 12, 18, 19, 2004. The show is a family show targeted at adults and children of all ages. The show kicks off holiday and Christmas family activities in the Delaware Valley - and is a unique start to the new year.

George Bailey faces many setbacks and disappointments in his life until the true spirit of the season touches him in the form of a wish granted from Clara, angel second class. Director Betty Chomentowski brings this classic story to life for Plays & Players with the help of a large cast and crew. Its a Wonderful Life" was adapted by James W. Rogers, from the classic movie by Frank Capra, which starred James Stewart and Donna Reed. The play features unforgettable characters and a story that everyone will love. We really have a wonderful life, but we dont get to really see what a difference we are making. George Bailey gives all of us a chance to treasure the small moments of triumph in our daily existence," added Gryn.
