The Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Donald Nicolaisen, will be the keynote speaker at the SEC Institute 20th Annual National SEC Reporting Conference. The keynote address is scheduled for Monday, November 1, 2004, from 8:00-8:45 a.m.
The National SEC Reporting Conference is the premier year-end update for financial officers. Focusing on S.E.C. rules, regulations and the latest key developments in financial accounting, the event will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Pentagon City, (Arlington, VA). This yearÂs hottest topics are, among others, the new Form 8-K rules, Sarbanes-OxleyÂs Section 404 on Internal Controls and the FASBÂs Share-based payment proposal. As usual, updates from the Division of Corporation Finance, Office of the Chief Accountant and Enforcement are also scheduled.
Other SEC featured speakers are John Reed Stark, Chief, Internet Enforcement, Todd Hardiman, Associate Chief Accountant in the Division of Corporation Finance, and Pamela Schlosser, Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant.
Teresa Iannaconi, KPMGÂs National Director of SEC Practice Advisory Services will chair the program.
