Â RSN, Resorts Sports Television, has launched ÂHot Spots,Â a new destination travel show that takes viewers to some of the most exciting vacation spots in the world.
Hosted by Jessica York, a veteran RSN anchor who also hosts ÂNew SpacesÂ on HGTV and ÂBody to Go,Â a fitness video/DVD for travelers, the show will go on location around the world to feature an eclectic sampling of adventure travel destinations, such as:
Â Salmon fishing and whale watching in British Columbia
Â Swimming with dolphins and witnessing a Mayan ceremony on the Mexican Rivera
Â Heli-dog sledding and golfing under the midnight sun in Alaska
Â Surfing and volcano exploring in Hawaii
Â Exploring the historic sites and sampling the local food in Malaga, Spain
Â Running the whitewater rapids in Chile
Each program will include segments on what to expect Before You Go, While YouÂre There, and After You Get Back.
ÂThis show will bring the essence of the destination to viewers we know are already predisposed to travel,Â said Towle Tompkins, director of TV operations and programming for RSN. ÂRSN viewers are typically high income people on vacation in high end, outdoors oriented resorts. Our research shows they spend $13,169 per year on vacation. While they may not all be ready to go heli-dog sledding, we know they enjoy outdoor travel.Â
ÂHot SpotsÂ is broadcast Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings on the RSN Network.
