Small to Medium sized businesses to hear inspirational business stories, business news and information on new radio program premiering FIRST on KFWB 980 AM news radio in Los Angeles.

Focal Point Media and radio station KFWB 980 AM Los Angeles will unveil a ground breaking new business program set to premiere November 1, 2004 and airing Monday through Friday in two of the station’s prime day spots. “The Turning Point Business Minute” will air during AM drive at 9:55 and middays at 1:55 PM.

Co-executive produced by Focal Point Media co-founders Larry Carroll and Pat Means; The Turning Point Business Minute is directed towards small and medium sized businesses owners and operators in L.A.’s broad entrepreneurial community.

Unlike other business programs that report and analyze developments in the high-powered world of publicly traded companies, The Turning Point Business Minute will answer the questions and provide the resources demanded by the vast majority of America’s small and medium sized businesses.

“Small businesses employ 90 percent of American workers and are responsible for most of the nation’s financial activity, yet the needs of those businesses are frequently overlooked in the world of broadcast media,” says Focal Point Media Co-Executive Producer/Founder and KFWB Anchor Larry Carroll.

“Every day the Turning Point Business Minute will deliver solutions, ideas, direction, resources and inspiration to help everyday business people confront their daily battles to keep the lights on and grow their piece of the free enterprise dream, ” Carroll adds.

The editorial resources of Turning Point Magazine, a 12-year-old bi-monthly national publication, published by Focal Point Media Co-Executive Producer/Founder Patricia Means, support the Turning Point Business Minute. “The Business Minute brings to radio what our magazine has long considered its hallmark: to influence, inspire, provide information and resources a small business owner and operator can use immediately to make their operations more efficient, effective and profitable at the bottom line.”

The Turning Point Business Minute will also seek to inspire with profile stories of businesses, which have overcome obstacles to achieve success. “We call them ‘Turning Point Stories’”, comments Means. “Sure, every business needs the fundamentals, but sometimes business people need a little inspiration just to get them over the next hurdle.”

David G. Hall, Program Director of KNX/KFWB Los Angeles CBS Infinity Radio declares: “This is one of the most down to earth, easy to use business features I have ever seen. Informative and digestible. I think the audience is going to eat this up.”

Emmy and Golden Mike award winning Larry Carroll will serve as host of The Turning Point Business Minute. Carroll and Means remark: " We are especially excited to be a part of the proud tradition of news and information broadcasting represented by KFWB 980 AM Los Angeles and look forward to a future of precedent setting success with the Viacom/CBS/Infinity Radio family.”
