Aging and Politics, With Senator John Vasconcellos, Sunday, November 14

AGING AND POLITICS, will be the topic of discussion with Senator John Vasconcellos on Sunday, November 14, 2004 from noon to 3 p.m. at Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma.

(PRWEB) October 30, 2004 -- On Sunday, November 14, Senator John Vasconcellos will share his years of experience in the Senate as well as his research on the aging crisis in California. The Senator will discuss his thoughts on what each of us can do to personally and politically prepare for this crisis. This gathering will facilitate an intergenerational dialogue on the aging crisis facing California and our nation.

The International Institute for Humanistic Studies will also be Honoring Hobart Red Thomas, PHD, Professor Emeritus, Sonoma State University and Jazz Pianist and will include readings from AGESONG by Elizabeth Bugental, Ph.D.

IIHS is reaching out to bridge the gap among diverse groups of people, respecting their differences and helping them to communicate in ways that replace violence with compassion and understanding.
Help us offer scholarships for our in-depth communitcation trainings to students and minority groups in 2005 in Northern California and expand our international training.

Cost for the event: $45 per person or $25 for students, table of 8 - $315/$175 students
