With career opportunities increasing nationwide, Dental Assistant students at Pima Medical Institute, 1701 W. 72nd Ave., Suite 130 in Denver have the opportunity to enroll in the Dental Assistant program and graduates with six months experience can enroll in the Expanded Dental Duties Assistant (EDDA) program.

(PRWEB) October 31, 2004 -- With career opportunities increasing nationwide, Dental Assistant students at Pima Medical Institute, 1701 W. 72nd Ave., Suite 130 in Denver are already happy. However, now current students, as well as graduates of the program have even more to smile about.

PMIs Denver campus provides convenient DA classes, as well as an Expanded Dental Duties Assistant (EDDA) program that offers graduates of the DA program who have worked in the field for six months the opportunity to receive additional training and increase their salaries.

The next DA program begins Nov. 22nd and 29th and the next EDDA session is scheduled for 2005. Those interested in either program are encouraged to call the campus immediately to discuss their options.

Job opportunities for Dental Assistants are very bright and we are very proud of our program," said Sue Anderson, campus director for the Denver career college. For Dental Assistants who want to further advance their career, our EDDA program allows DAs to take their education, professionalism and salaries to the next level."

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for Dental Assistants is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2012. Job openings will continue to rise to replace others who transfer to other occupations, retire or leave the labor force for other reasons. Population growth and greater retention of natural teeth by middle age and older people will continue to fuel demand for dental services.

In addition to the Dental Assistant and EDDA programs, the Denver campus has a new program for: Physical Therapist Assistant, as well as program for Medical Assistant; Medical Administrative Assistant, Ophthalmic Medical Technician; Pharmacy Technician; Veterinary Assistant; Phlebotomy Technician, Radiography and Respiratory Therapy.

PMI is one of the premier medical career colleges in the western United States. The privately owned, accredited school provides students with a well-rounded education embracing theoretical classroom studies, as well as on-site training at medical facilities that mirror the working environment they will pursue after graduation.

PMI has been serving students since 1972, with campuses in: Albuquerque, NM; Chula Vista, CA; Colorado Springs, Seattle and Renton, WA; Mesa and Tucson, AZ; Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as the Denver campus. Additional information is available by calling 1-888-442-5998 or at http://www.pmi.edu.
