The students at Pima Medical Institutes newest campus at 555 South Renton Village Place in Renton have a lot to smile about. The Dental Assistant course, one of the six Allied Health courses offered at the Renton Campus, is being taught in a Dental Office environment that includes some of the newest and most sophisticated equipment available.

The three operatory stations are supplemented with integrated X-Ray, sterilization station, and fabrication lab that allow students a true experience in a modern office setting. Students learn Chairside Assisting, Dental Radiography and Front Office skills as a part of the curriculum and cap their training off with an Externship in a Dentists office.
    
According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for Dental Assistants is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations through 2012. Job opening will continue to rise to replace others who transfer to other occupations, retire or leave the labor force for other reasons. Population growth and greater retention of natural teeth by middle age and older people will continue to fuel demand for dental services.
