Is Your Dog an Angel in Disguise? Has a dog performed an act of compassion, protection, healing, or courage? Have you had a miraculous or mystical experience with a dog? Submit your 1,000-word true story to the 2004 Angel Dogs Contest.
Allen and Linda Anderson, authors of GOD'S MESSENGERS: What Animals Teach Us about the Divine, offer this contest to honor the spiritual connection between humans and dogs and to find potential stories for publication in their upcoming book, Angel Dogs.
One grand prize of $250 will be awarded to the first-place winner. A second-place prize of $25.00 will be awarded to an additional five contestants. There is no entry fee. Submissions must be postmarked on or prior to December 15, 2004.

Authors of ANGEL CATS: Divine Messengers of Comfort, ANGEL ANIMALS: Exploring Our Spiritual Connection with Animals, and GOD'S MESSENGERS: What Animals Teach Us about the Divine.
Allen and Linda Anderson are a husband and wife writing team and founders of the Angel Animals Network (http://www.angelanimals.net). They offer a free newsletter, ÂAngel Animals Story of the Week.Â They are also inspirational speakers. Allen and Linda share their home in Minneapolis with a menagerie of animals including two cats. Their new book, ANGEL CATS: Divine Messengers of Comfort, is a collection of true stories about cats who are as compassionate as they are curious. The book is the third in an ongoing series with the theme of spiritual connection between people and animals.
The Andersons are writing instructors at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis. In 2004 they were recipients of a Certificate of Commendation from Governor Tim Pawlenty in recognition of their contributions as authors enhancing the economy and welfare of the State of Minnesota. The AndersonsÂ work has been featured twice on NBCÂs The Today Show and on ABCÂs Peter Jennings Nightly News. They have been the subject of numerous national magazine and wire service articles and have been interviewed for London newspapers and BBC Radio.
