GALA Hosts Seminar on Challenges and Strategies for Success in the Enlarged EU

With the European Unions expansion to 25 countries, companies are facing new challenges and opportunities. The upcoming GALA seminar brings together experts who will discuss strategies for success in this changing environment.

(PRWEB) November 1, 2004 -- With the European Unions expansion to 25 countries, the EU is a larger and more diverse entity than ever. Companies are facing new challenges and opportunities. Six months after the integration of 10 new member states, decision-makers from corporate, legal, regulatory and academic sectors will gather to discuss topics critical to doing business in the enlarged EU. This one-day multi-disciplinary seminar is hosted by the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA).

Running a business within the EU can be a daunting task," says organizer Renée Sztabelski, President and CEO of Hitext S.A. and a founding member of GALA, and companies are being forced to rethink their strategy and adapt their operations due to the changes over the past year. Companies that understand the changes and their implications will create many new opportunities. Those that dont take the time to learn about these issues may be left behind."

A broad range of issues will be covered in a focused, one-day format. Speakers include some of the top European experts in their fields, for example from PricewaterhouseCoopers, ING Bank, Ogilvy & Mather Group, the European Commission and Boston University. Topics will include new EU regulations, guidelines for meeting language and translation requirements, marketing to diverse communities, competition law and data privacy, as well as educational needs for business and government in today's Europe. The seminar primarily addresses professionals responsible for overall company strategy, sales, marketing, operations and business development.

The Europe of 25: New Challenges, New Opportunities" will take place on December 10, 2004 in Brussels. For more information, visit www.gala-global.org.
