Omaré will be participating in Cosmoprof Asia 2004 in Hong Kong from November 10th to 12th, 2004. Their presence at Asia’s most important cosmetics exhibition will mark the official launch of Omaré distribution in Hong Kong and Macau with newly appointed importer-distributors Heritage 21 (Asia) Co. Limited. Omaré products are already widely available in SE Asia with distribution assured in Singapore & Malaysia by Heritage 21 Pte. Ltd. and in Thailand by OCC Public Co. Ltd. In addition to their Thai distribution responsibilities, OCC are also responsible for organising Omaré commercialisation in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar.

Eliana Cristina de Melo MacLeay, Omaré’s Product Manager and editor of Omaré Beauty News, invites salon and spa professionals to visit the stand (N° 1C4C, Hall 1, French Pavilion) and to discuss treatment techniques with her and Omaré Training & Demonstration therapist Michèle Pellé. In addition to tips on new treatment programmes, Eliana will be presenting samples of new products to be launched in Asian markets in the first quarter of 2005.

This year has been an exceptionally busy year for Omaré. With distribution contracts covering most of SE Asia and S. America, the brand has become a major international reference. Omaré’s participation in Cosmoporf Asia 2004 comes on the heals of Eliana’s promotional tour of Brazil in September of this year.

Cosmoprof Asia will be the occasion to officially announce the addition of over a dozen new products to the Omaré line. The products include new professional salon and spa treatment products as well as retail-oriented bath products. On the professional side we find Omaré’s wolfberry-based Eye Contour Mask (peel-off), Bust Toning Mask (peel-off) and anti-wrinkle Eye & Lip Contour Cream. These products reinforce Omaré’s Anti-Ageing line built around its Rejuvenating Mask, Acerola Multi-vitamin Mask, Rejuvenating Creams and Lifting Serum. Chinese wolfberry has been an important part of Chinese traditional medicine for centuries and Omaré is proud to be introducing new products that benefit from Wolfberry’s rich cosmetic anti-ageing potential. The inclusion of Chinese wolfberry in these formulations is an example of Omaré’s cosmopolitan approach to product development. As Omaré’s Product Manager, Eliana Cristina de Melo MacLeay recently told representatives of the Brazilian press in Sao Paulo, “Omaré is constantly seeking out and employing active ingredients that reflect important regional treatment traditions that enrich our development and enable us to better serve the specific needs and aspirations of local customers in different parts of the world. At Omaré, product development is synonymous with listening to, respecting and sharing with other cultures.”

In addition to the new peel-off masks mentioned above, Omaré is also introducing their new Radiance Mask designed to offer fresh lustre and vitality to tired-looking, dull skin tones. The mask combines gentle tropical fruit enzyme peeling action with natural skin brighteners to offer even the most delicate complexions a fresher, more youthful looking glow.

Other new facial products include 3 new facemask dilution and rinsing lotions: Aloe Solution (for delicate skin), EQ Solution (for oily skin) and Radiance Solution (for extra lustre). Designed to complement the action of both peel-off and rinse-off masks, these solutions will increase the versatility of Omaré’s face mask-based beauty treatment programmes and offer Omaré beauticians added treatment flexibility. Omaré is also proud to announce the launching of their new Sunrise Equilibrium Gel, a skin care day gel designed to combat problems caused by oily skin conditions. It was conceived as the partner product for Omaré’s Equilibrium Purifying Mask and Sunset Equilibrium Cream - their clay normalising mask & concentrated night cream. The gel format was chosen over the more common cream format two reasons: a gel format permits women to finish their morning treatment routines with an application of a lightening or anti-ageing day cream while still combating their oily skin problems. Because the gel format is more refreshing than a cream-based equivalent, it is also a more logical after-shaving choice for men seeking an efficient day treatment for oily skin-related problems.

Body Care products have not been left out of the new product roster. Omaré’s Soothing Leg Gel has been developed as the final step in treatments based on their Circulation Mask dedicated to bringing relief to heavy, aching legs. Designed for both spa/salon and home use, working women will appreciate the fact that it can be applied at any time of the day over pantyhose or stockings with absolutely no staining or residual sticky feeling.

Lastly, Omaré has expanded its bath & shower comfort line to include new seaweed soaps: Ocean Scrubbing Soap, a mint-scented lithothamnium, fucus and green tea-based exfoliating soap and Ocean Fresh Body Soap, a lemon verbena-scented laminaria, spirulina and Shea butter-based toning and conditioning soap guaranteed to make any bath or shower a memorable experience. Ocean Bath & Shower Gel, a fresh, revitalising all-purpose laminaria gel rounds out Omaré’s new trio of body cleansing products.

For the ultimate in luxurious bath comfort, Omaré will be introducing their new Golden Sea Foam Bath and Azure & Coral Bath Nuggets, all designed to take bathing to another level of comfort and relaxation.

Monica Chang of Heritage 21, Hong Kong will be offering demonstrations of existing and new treatment techniques at the Omaré Cosmoprof Asia stand. Summaries of existing Omaré treatment programmes are currently available on the Omaré Web site - Detailed information on new treatments will be available on the site in January 2005.

After their participation in the Beauty Asia exhibition in Singapore in February 2004, Omaré’s presence at Cosmoprof Asia 2004 in Hong Kong testifies to the importance that the brand attaches to its presence in Asian markets. Commenting on this long-term commitment, Eliana Cristina de Melo MacLeay summarized Omaré’s position as follows: “ for Omaré, Asian countries represent much more than simple commercial markets. Their cultures are continual sources of inspiration on subjects related to the concepts of Renewal, Harmony and Well Being – three concepts fundamental to Omaré’s development policy. As in the case of my native Brazil, there is much to be learned from the multitude of treatment traditions native to Asian countries. The idea is to create dynamic cross-cultural synergies between the treatment traditions of Asia, S. America. Africa and France, Omaré’s home base.” The presence of Omaré therapists and representatives from Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, France, Canada and Brazil at the Omaré stand testifies to their commitment to developing the synergies necessary to make their multi-cultural product development projects a concrete reality. Cosmoprof Asia is therefore a unique opportunity for salons and spas to discover Omaré products and treatments and to profit from the presence of Omaré distributors and Head Office representatives from around the world - Monica and Ronita Chang of Heritage 21 Asia Ltd. (Hong Kong) seconded by staff from Heritage 21’s Singaporean office, Apinya Koedsil of the Omaré Division of OCC Public Co. Ltd. (Thailand), Head Office representatives including Omaré Managing Director Scott MacLeay, Product Manager, Eliana Cristina de Melo MacLeay and Training and Demonstration Therapist Michèle Pellé.
