Detroit, MI / New York, NY / Greenville, SC (PRWEB) November 2, 2004
Fabolous made the cover of Urb1 Magazine's debut issue, which is to be released November 1st. After a push back of possibly a year, Urb1 Magazine is going to be the first completely hiphop fashion focused magazine, for the hiphop generation.
With no major store chains involved with the selling of the magazine, it will mainly be distributed through street team promoters and Urb1Mag.com.
A few Hiphop clothing stores on the north and south east coasts will be retailing the magazine, with expansion plans in the works currently.
The first issue will give exclusive information and looks at some of the latest designs not found online. With the focus being hiphop fashion, there will be much clothing, shoe, and accessory highlights throughout the magazine. Truly, the 1st issue is a collectors piece for anyone who's a big fan of shoes or hats, in specific. Wise Cracks, rumors, certified news, interviews, photos, and more will make Urb1 Magazine the best magazine on the market to date.
The first 200 subscribers will get a rubber band from T.I. and Atlantic Records. These are the same as the rubber band TI, Usher, Diddy, and other celebrities wore in T.I.'s video, "Rubber Band Man".
One randomly drawn, grand prize winner will win a digital camera and a white & yellow gold, diamond bezeled, wrist bracelet, which is valued at a retail of $1599.99. The giveaway winner's name will be picked on November 20th, as all subscribers address will be in a drawing box. Urb1 Magazine has committed to releasing their magazine bi-monthly, in order to give more feeds and keep somewhat exclusive. "We want kids to take this magazine into school and have the other kids like 'dang, where did you get that man?'. It's truly a movement. Urb1 Magazine should be what Eastbay was to the old school heads like myself!" said one of Urb1 Magazine's owners.

FOOTNOTES:
Urb1.com, the Original Hiphop Fashion website, was founded in 2002. It was originally created as a gateway for the hiphop generations in the south, that had no stores or connections to the latest in hiphop fashion. Also, Urb1 was to be breakout gateway for the hottest new designers in the Hiphop fashion industry who are being ignored by the general public, because they don't have the connections in the industry to boost their new clothing designs into the main stream.
After 2 years of running, Urb1 decided to expand beyond the internet and get into magazine publishing. With other magazines catering to what they call the "urban" market, Urb1 wants to be the first to hit the true street Hiphop market. Plans on leaving out high fashion designer names that have nothing to do with HipHop is one of Urb1 Magazines top priorities.
Essentially, Urb1 wants to release talent from the streets which Hiphop was born to help heal the poverty struck community which the hiphop community is concentrated in, while subliminally educating the readers who love to "be fly" in Urb1's owner's terms.
In definition, Urb1 means "1 love for HipHop Fashion", with a 2nd meaning of "Helping Hiphop culture enrich it's own community through style and fashion."
