Bill, Where Are You?

A plea to Bill Gates to protect Microsoft software from persistent invasions.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 3, 2004 -- Has anybody got a digital-analgesic pill? Windows based computers are now a national headache. Users need at least fifteen minutes a day devoted to cleansing" the computer. Mr. Gates, please do something about security!

Pop-up security notices, email scams, constant upgrades and the list continues to grow. If it's not another virus attack, it's daily scanning, running one antivirus package after another. Threats range from terrorist attacks to business risks, to criminal activities, invasion of privacy, and theft. We should pray that a virus does not clobber our power grid, destroy a plant or breach military secrets. Even in less important operations, using Windows is often counterproductive. All the bells and whistles have become unfriendlies." Too much is too much! A computer used to be an effective tool, until Microsoft sponged up the market.

So, Mr. Gates, where are you? Uncle Sam and the rest of us need you! We need you on the job, securing Windows software from continuous invasions.

While the vast majority of us are struggling to keep Windows clean, the Microsoft bunch is busy preserving their revolting market position, holding competition at bay. Hey, what about us users, and national security? . In comparison, Unix has at least four tiers of security, all the way up to C2 rating--the standard required by most government agencies. Virus attacks on Unix are nominal.

Microsoft systems are open for international enemies—terrorists—to attack. Windows (not the Internet) also allows unscrupulous people to abuse others. Ironically, these people can easily use the computer technology American engineers developed for constructive use. No, Mr. Gates did not invent DOS or Windows. Others share that credibility.

Its what has happened since then that has become a massive threat to our nation. Anyone with that much money, influence and power should take a more proactive role in protecting customers and our great nation.
