inaxess delivers Metis-based EA solutions to Swiss firms in key vertical markets.

Computas today announced it has signed a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with inaxess integration of Kloten, Switzerland, which will significantly extend both companies’ presence in the Swiss marketplace for Enterprise Architecture (EA) solutions. Under the agreement, inaxess integration will utilize Computas’ Metis® Enterprise visual modeling toolset to provide EA solutions to leading Swiss companies in the financial services, telecommunications, energy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

According to Michael A. Schmidle, CEO of inaxess integration, the Metis software will play a key role in the company’s strategy of leveraging Enterprise Architecture technology in its IT integration business. “Creating an Enterprise Architecture model is a fundamental part of the preparation phase of an integration project. That’s why Metis is so important to us,” Schmidle said. “A Metis-based EA makes the complex infrastructure of a customer’s IT organization ‘transparent’ by providing clear graphical model views of all of their systems, applications and interfaces. This capability is invaluable for defining a customer’s IT portfolio, which is an essential step for the success of any engagement we undertake.”

“inaxess integration’s choice of Metis as their preferred EA modeling tool enables them to harness the power of a visual EA model to identify gaps and overlaps in IT functionality, making it much easier to create an optimized infrastructure,” said Emilio G. Marisei, Computas’ Director of Marketing and Sales Channels. “Metis gives inaxess integration a powerful tool for risk reduction in their portfolio management efforts, by helping to ensure that a customer’s IT infrastructure and business processes are fully aligned.”
