Rebecca Tranter short film "Your Sister Sue" is scheduled to screen at the Wigan International Film Festival in England

Hispanic American screenwriter and director Rebecca Tranter of Carolina Street Productions short film "Your Sister Sue" is scheduled to screen at Wigan International Film Festival in the "Best of the North West" category on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 7:30pm.

(PRWEB) November 3, 2004 -- "Your Sister Sue", a short film written and directed by Rebecca Tranter of Carolina Street Productions was shot on location in Bristol, England. "Your Sister Sue" peeks into the modern world of one ordinary woman during what seems to be a non-stop telephone call of single word dialogue filled with a range of emotions.

Wigan International Film Festival believes that today's students are tomorrow's professionals, and when they enter the industry, most are likely to do it on a very small budget! During the festival, schools and colleges in the area are being given the chance to view a screening of "Your Sister Sue" made on a minimal budget and talk to the director and cinematographer about how to gain high quality results on low quality money.

Carolina Street Productions, who are running the talks, have three simple objectives; to create, to educate and to inspire. Productions are collective collaborations between practitioners from not only different creative disciplines but also ethnic backgrounds. Hispanic American screenwriter and director Rebecca Tranter will conduct a panel discussion with cinematographer Richard Hatherall and the star of "Your Sister Sue" British Actress Diana Dahlia.

"Your Sister Sue" represents a modern day family of multi-race. Have you ever found yourself in a phone conversation that is dominated by a caller, yet still being able to continue every day tasks? If you answer "Aha" then "Your Sister Sue" is a must see short film that will touch all audiences. Take a look at another side of reality as "Your Sister Sue" peeks into the modern world of one ordinary woman (Diana Dahlia) during what-seems-to-be a non-stop phone call of single word dialogue filled with a range of emotions and her ability to multi-task around her family.

The cast includes Diana Dahlia as "Marsha", Alan Milne as her husband "Albert", Malika Jacka-Slater as the teenage daugther "Nicky" and Adam Wheeler as "Little Al".

Diana Dahlia has appeared in such films as Die Another Day, Hamlet, Batman, and appeared on British television in Eastenders, The Bill, Love on the Ruins, Holby City and Desmond to name a few.
