CHICAGO, IL (PRWEB) November 4, 2004 -- All About Careers, a comprehensive resource for job hunters, will host All About Careers Dream Job Boot Campä: Guerilla tips, tactics and strategies for the seriously motivated career-seeker." The two-day program will be held January 5 and 6, 2005 at the East Bank Club, 500 N. Kingsbury Street, Chicago.

The intensive workshop, led by top recruitment, marketing, sales, and headhunting professionals, is geared toward college seniors and recent graduates who are conducting job searches. The program will arm participants with the tools they need to identify and land a job that best meets their skills, qualifications and career objectives.

"Our program offers more than just resume writing and interviewing tips, says Laurie Kahn, president, Media Staffing Network, founding partner of All About Careers and a key facilitator for AAC Dream Job Boot Campä. We go beyond the basics that college career placement centers cover. Each participant will graduate from the program with a practical, easy-to- implement strategy to land a job, as well as information on how to succeed once they enter the workplace."

A sample of the in-depth sessions includes:
·   Identifying and finding a dream job
·   Selling yourself -- even if you have
        more potential than experience
·   Networking and personal branding
·   Business savvy
·   Demonstrating your Emotional
        Intelligence"
·   Overcoming employer bias against hiring
        recent graduates
·   Making the transition from student to
        employee
·   Developing tactical listening skills

A highlight will be a Career Launch Networking party at the conclusion of the first day. This event will give participants practice and hands-on training at professional networking.

Our workshop is different from the typical presentation because it is based on strategically-sound marketing principles, as opposed to the tired tactics of yesteryear that so many people cling to," says Rob Sullivan, a co-founder who leads many of the programs sessions.

Because the lead facilitators, Laurie Kahn and Rob Sullivan, currently work with both job-seekers and employers, they enjoy first-hand knowledge of the job market, career opportunities, hiring trends, and the most successful job-hunting strategies, as well as sales and marketing expertise.

Kahn is founder and president of lgk Media Staffing Network, the first staffing company catering exclusively to media sales and associated departments for temporary and permanent placements. Founded in 1993, her practice has expanded to offer staffing and sales management expertise to the general market. Kahn has received numerous awards and regularly presents on workplace topics to associations and colleges nationwide.

Rob Sullivan is an inspirational speaker and corporate trainer who delivers workshops and keynotes at companies, universities, and trade associations across the country. His book, Getting Your Foot in the Door When You Dont Have a Leg to Stand On (McGraw-Hill), is in top demand in college career development classes. He also was featured as a guest expert on Starting Over," a nationally-televised NBC reality TV show.

Included in the cost of the program are a copy of Sullivans book, an on-line career assessment, as well as lunch and refreshments.
