Support Our Soldiers America Saturday, Nov. 13 - Holiday Inn Martinique Hotel 10am to 6pm Live Entertainment, Refreshments, Celebrities

Everyone is invited to be a part of an "Appreciation Drive for our Military Service Members in Iraq and Afghanistan." We will be welcoming wounded Soldiers with a police escort from military hospitals. Support Our Soldiers America, Inc. is sponsoring a drive to send packages and Christmas cards to as many military personnel as we can and we need the help of the community.

Items listed below (or similar) may be brought to the Holiday Inn Martinique Hotel, 49 W. 32nd St, New York, NY (bet. Broadway and Fifth Avenue) on Saturday, Nov. 13, from 10am to 6pm.

Those who would like to send care packages and holiday cards are encouraged to bring such items, and/or make donations for postage, which will be greatly appreciated. Churches and businesses are also invited to help with this fund drive.

SOS AMERICA, INC. wants to stress that time is getting short and we need community support to help bring a little Christmas cheer and love to our men and women in the armed services and military hospitals.

Items needed include (keep in mind the theme "small, non-perishable, useful or fun"): COOKIES, SNACKS, TOILETRIES: eye drops, saline nasal spray, soap, shampoo, shaving cream (tubes only--no aerosol cans), disposable razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, Q-tips, deodorant, baby wipes, foot powder, Blistex, foot pads, sunscreen and Band-Aids. Non-perishable snacks, such as M&Ms (candy that does not melt), PRESWEETENED POWDERED DRINK MIXES (the water is yukky), hard candy, gum, chips in a can, crackers in packs, packaged non-melting cookies, trail mix, peanuts, sunflower seeds and beef jerky. Very small personal items, such as pocket notebooks, ballpoint pens, pocket games, etc. MAGAZINES, PAPERBACKS. Also, Christmas cards may be sent with a personal note written from you.
