Military Service Tribute
Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 - 10am - 6pm - Hotel Holiday Inn Martinique Hotel - 49 W. 32nd Street, NYC - Families of NY/NJ residents who are in the military and away from home on active duty are invited to attend SOS America, Inc.'s Veterans Day ceremony.
(PRWEB) November 4, 2004 -- You can bring donations and cards for the troops overseas and in military hospitals. Donations will help out with postage and special projects.

Salute to our Soldiers ceremony. Guest speakers, live music,
refreshments, free wine tasting, book fair, silent auction,
jitterbug and swing lessons, pageant for "Mr. Romance," Clips of
Patricia Neal movies, and more... entertainment and celebrities.
Featured MC: Joe Franklin.
Local veterans are invited to participate in the activities.
Wounded Soldiers from Washington-area military hospitals will be
led by police escort to the city.
"Wounded Soldiers from Iraq will be recognized each year at this
ceremony, for the sacrifices they have made to ensure our safety
and freedom," said Kathryn Falk, founder of SOS America, Inc.
Funds raised by SOS America, Inc. will take 100 wounded Soldiers
on a holiday to southern Italy.
Participants will include Brig. Gen. Sid Baumgarten; keynote
speaker Col. Matthew Bogdanos, former Manhattan DA and Marine
officer in charge of tracking down looted Iraqi antiquities;
Shauna Fleming, the teenager who created "A Million Thanks"
letter-writing program; actress Patricia Neal; Cindy Guyer,
co-host of Oxygen's "Mr. Romance," accompanied by models John
DeSalvo, Peter DiCicco and Bill Freda; costumier Sharon Spiak,
hosting a vintage costume fashion parade; and Rev. Laurie
Brockway, who will read the prayer.
The NY Color Guard and Military Division band will open the
ceremony. A 1940 Dance Canteen and exhibit (with food) about Horn
& Hardart Automats will also be part of the festivities.
Authors appearing at the book fair will include Barbara Taylor
Bradford, Walter Zacharius, Heather Graham, Candace Bushnell,
Stephen Kaufman, Tori Carrington and more.....
This event is open to the public.
