(PRWEB) November 8, 2004
Tax Partners announced today the completion of its SAS 70 Type II Certification audit. The audit was performed by SAS 70 Solutions, Inc. and covered Tax Partners compliance processes, technology, treasury operations and technical infrastructure as well as other key areas of its business operations. Tax Partners is the first and only sales tax compliance service bureau which offers this level of SAS 70 Type II Certification assurance to its clients.
Tax Partners had this audit performed to provide clients with an efficient way to meet the needs of external auditors and to address documentation and attestation needs related to Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. With the changes in the legal and regulatory environment, corporate sales and use tax processes are in the scope of external review and internal attestation requirements, sometimes for the first time.
No material exceptions to the control objectives for the SAS 70 Type II Certification were identified. John Richie, CEO of Tax Partners noted: ÂWe are pleased with the unqualified opinion of the auditor. In addition to helping our public clients address their Section 404 internal control documentation and attestation requirements, the presence of this strong validation of our control environment will help all clients feel confident that Tax Partners is providing them with a reliable, stable and secure compliance process."
