Employment Office Goes Online

BidHire and A&M Services Inc took the unemployment issue to the Internet in late August of this year, and now offer a service that has never been seen online until now.

Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) November 7, 2004 -- According to Mick Mohr, CEO of A&M Services Inc, not nearly enough is being done to help the unemployed person find work. After much research and preparation, he launched BidHire.com in August of this year and it has steadily grown into one of the top visited websites today.

The number of unemployed persons was unchanged at 8.0 million in September, and the unemployment rate held at 5.4 percent, seasonally adjusted. The jobless rate is down from its most recent high of 6.3 percent in June 2003; most of this decline occurred in the second half of last year.

"We have endeavored to build an employment services website that would fill a very important niche in online job searches, i.e. part time work, temporary employment, and even odd jobs, and we have done so in an auction format." Mohr said. "Job seekers post their job description at their leisure and interested people bid on their employment services."

The service is also unique in that it benefits the employer as well, in both the US and abroad.. Before Bidhire, there was nowhere else to go and find someone to work on such short notice. There was no place to go to find someone to mow a lawn, or to run errands; no place to find on-the-spot care givers or office assistants. Referred to by some as "the ebay of the job market" BidHire jobs listings include everything from babysitting, to aviation training, to medical services.

With the strength of the economy being an issue in the upcoming presidential election, the rising oil prices and their effect on consumer spending, the uncertainty of the stock market and the lack of clarity from the economists, no one can be sure of what 2005 will bring. Hopefully we will see more business owners like Mohr, who are concerned enough to search for a way to help the millions of misplaced workers find jobs.
