The Biscayne Bay Young Republicans: Ronald Reagan Memorial, Hall of Fame will honor Alan Dubow, Angela Vasquez, and Jose Alcaraz on Wednesday, November 10th, at the Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. The event will also honor Victory 2004 and the future of the organization

(PRWEB) November 7, 2004 -- First, the Biscayne Bay Young Republicans would like to congratulate you for educating the public this campaign season. Thanks to your efforts, we re-elected President Bush, elected Mel Martinez as the nations first Cuban-American Senator, elected Carlos Alvarez as the Countys first Republican Mayor, and elected BBYR Chairman Ernesto Martinez to the South Dade Community Council. Through your hard work, we re-elected every State Senator and State and Federal Representative who sought another term from Greater Miami, and helped replace Republicans with Republicans like Anitere Flores and Carlos Lopez-Cantera.
   Second, we want to congratulate all of you who ran for political office this year. Its a difficult decision to make a run; costing personal fortune, time away from family, friends, and work, and months of effort. We may not have won every office this year, but we have made significant gains in changing the landscape in this county and have razed the bar for future generations to achieve. For those who have been chosen to serve the people; we hope the same passions you brought to your campaigns will continue through the legislation you present, the actions you take, and the dignity you bring to position.
   Third, our thoughts and prayers go out to Elizabeth Edwards and her family during her time of need. As many of you know; Senator Edwardss wife was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this past Wednesday. Thankfully her cancer was caught early and hopefully she will make a speedy recovery.
   Fourth, we would like to thank all of you who donated time, money, effort, and personal belongings to the hurricane relief effort. Our 6th Annual Halloween Benefit, rescheduled by campaign events, turned into another success. Our Annual Christmas Party with our toy drive for the Angel Tree Project is just round the corner; more details to follow in the coming days.
Finally, we want to welcome all of you to the Biscayne Bay Young Republicans: Ronald Reagan Memorial, Hall of Fame Dinner on Wednesday, November 10th starting at 7:00pm. This event will honor the achievements of three of our organizations pioneers, Alan Dubow, Angela Vasquez, and Jose Alcaraz; a celebration of Election Day by recognizing our newly elected officials such as Representative Flores, Mayor Alvarez, & Councilman Martinez; and as a showcase for the future.
