Free Lessons From the Artist Development Network Help Aspiring Singer Songwriters Wondering How to Get a Record Deal
Nashville, TN - November 8, 2004 -- In an effort to help aspiring singer songwriters wondering how to get a record deal, Cathy Lemmon, founder of Music Row based Artist Development Network, has written a free online course entitled Eight Lessons I Learned (The Hard Way) When I Came to Nashville".
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 8, 2004 -- In 1992 Cathy, like so many other hopeful singers, came to Nashville to pursue a career in the music industry. "I came to Nashville believing I would become a successful recording artist," says Cathy. but when I came to town, I did not have a clue how to get my foot in the door. I did not know who to talk to or how to go about getting my demos to the right people. I did not know who was legitimate or who was a crook. I learned a lot of lessons the hard way."
Cathy was eventually offered a recording contract but she never signed it. Instead decided she decided to blaze a trail for aspiring performers that would come after her. Its tough when you are out there singing and playing the clubs and trying to make it. I realized after a few years of knocking on doors that it wasnt for me. I wasnt willing to sacrifice enough and the idea of touring did not set well with me. I never saw the reality of the business, that its not a bed of roses. I decided to turn my efforts toward helping other artist get the help they need." Since them Cathy has opened many doors for aspiring singers and songwriters.
