Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 8, 2004 -- Jason Frost & The Love Junkies sign a worldwide licensing, manufacturing, retail distribution and commercial radio promo contract with L.A.'s Statue Records, the west coast's largest major independent record label. Statue Records will be releasing the band's CD "Threesome" on the Statue record label and providing retail store placement, commercial radio promotion and digital media downloads. Jason Frost & The Love Junkies songwriter and guitarist, Jason Frost reports that he is looking forward to working with Statue Records and says, This non-exclusive contract allows us to continue to be in control of our music, while also benefiting from Statue's retail and distribution expertise. They will help in bringing our music to a whole new level of visibility, including directly to those fans who buy music exclusively at local retail outlets. Statue's commitment to working each release the old fashioned way by hitting the phones, street and knocking on radio station doors is just what is needed for our music to reach a greater audience of listeners."
Threesome, originally slated to be a three-song CD sampler, now has 2 added bonus songs and a tracklist consisting of Going to Hollywood", Come on Darling", Sugar Daddy", Johnny So Bored" and Were Old Kings" giving this CD album debut on Statue Records a little something extra for fans to enjoy.
First track is a tribute to the metal sound of the late 80s to early 90s. The metal edged tribute Going to Hollywood" features a special guest guitar lead solo by Vaughn of E.V. Loud who is currently touring with Audie Desbrow the original drummer from legendary rock band Great White.
Come on Darling" captures a more contemporary alternative pop rock sound, while the acoustic song Sugar Daddy" captures the classic offbeat flavor and humor of Jason Frost and the Love Junkies.
Bonus track Johnny So Bored" is newly re-mastered version of a satirical song inspired, previously released and originally written for and about Jason Frosts longtime friend and old college roommate John Wozniak of the Marcy Playground, best known for their chart-topping Billboard hit Sex and Candy" which still holds the record with 20 weeks at number one on the Rock charts.
The additional bonus track Were Old Kings" reveals a darker side to Jason Frost & The Love Junkies music, having to do with reincarnation and rebirth. As always, with each new manifestation of Jason Frost, rock music fans can expect to be further entertained and enlightened.
