Ingenuus Software Inc., developer of affordable and affordable enterprise class Business Process Management solutions, made key announcements at their annual User Group meeting held in San Jose, California, last month among them closure on their first round of funding from Pragmatica Ventures LLP for an undisclosed amount.

“Ingenuus is growing,” says CEO Christopher Williams. “Our sales are increasing, our maintenance revenue is increasing, and we now have capital for expansion. In addition to that, we have a strong and reference-able customer base. Coupled with our flexible pricing and superior technology, we are going to make significant inroads in the Business Process Management (BPM) market in the next few months.”

Ingenuus announced that they have closed on funding from private investor Pragmatica Ventures LLP for an undisclosed amount. Ingenuus will be using the funds to expand their sales and marketing efforts. “We are very excited about the future growth potential at Ingenuus,” says Dan Vick, Managing Partner at Pragmatica.

Ingenuus also announced Smart Expediter 6.0 will be released in the second quarter of 2005. Several new features will be included as part of this maintenance release that will enhance process automation capabilities and provide more reporting features including more graphical reports.

“Because of our heritage in the PDM/PLM space,” explains Vivek Prasad, CTO at Ingenuus, “we have developed sophisticated tools for bill of material management, integration, and real process lifecycle management. We know that if we can automate a complex product lifecycle, then everyday administrative processes will be easy.” Easy only because the Smart Expediter can create flows that are very rigid, which is perfect for compliance conscious customers, or it can create flows that are flexible and iterative, perfect for administrative processes. “Our customers are proving that the Smart Expediter can automate virtually any process by doing it,” explains Prasad. One customer reported during the meeting that they have released more than 5 new processes since going live, one roughly every 2 to 3 weeks.
