UK Muslims To Gather In London To Denounce Genocide In Fallujah
Muslims will gather in London tonight to denounce the genocide being perpetrated against the Muslims of Fallujah.
London, UK (PRWEB) November 9, 2004 -- On one of the most important dates in Ramadhan, Muslims will gather at Londons Regents Park Mosque this evening to denounce the genocide being perpetrated against the Muslims of Fallujah by western militant democracies and their latest footstool, Iyad Allawi.
The gathering has been organised by the global Islamic political party, Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, in conjunction with the Muslim community. Thousands of worshippers will hear speeches urging them to raise their voices against the Fallujah massacre, the occupation of Iraq and the rulers of the Muslim world.
Dr Imran Waheed, the Representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Britain, said, At this time, Muslims in Britain must be the voice of the Muslims of Fallujah against this brutal genocide and the silence of the spineless rulers of the Muslim world. The re-establishment of the Islamic Khilafah will end subservience to foreign colonialist powers."
It is dishonest to label resistance to occupation as terrorism and insurgency. Muslims in Britain call upon the people of the West to question the militancy of western foreign policy across the globe and the continued interference of their governments in the Muslim world. Had Fallujah been any European city the world would have immediately cried genocide and moved to halt the massacre. Instead, we find western thinkers and politicians, who are ardent practitioners of human rights and international law, silent at the brutal slaughter of civilians."
Evening prayers will take place at 7.00 p.m. at the Islamic Cultural Centre [Regents Park Mosque. The prayers will be followed by speeches by members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, who will also be holding stalls and distributing literature throughout the mosque, exposing the true motives of the assault on Fallujah.

The Islamic Cultural Centre is located at 146 Park Road, London, NW8 7RG. These activities are being organised independently of the mosque by Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain.
