Prison Information Forum
The large number of individuals incarcerated in this country is nothing when you stop to think about the number of family members and loved ones also affected by an inmate's prison term. These individuals (often innocent bystanders), are left behind to fend for themselves, learning to cope with their new life, chosen by another's action.
(PRWEB) November 12, 2004 -- Some have said that seeing a spouse off to prison feels somewhere between a death and divorce, less the knowledge or life experience necessary to recognize the appropriate response. Anxiety and mental anguish is often the resulting emotion until a renewed independence can be formed and personal decisions made.
The cause or details of this distress are often not a subject matter one would wish to discuss with a friend or a neighbor fearing judgment or simply the notion of not really understanding unless you've actually gone through it.
This website is a place where you can find information to some of the questions you need answered to help ease your pain and get on with your life. This is a public prison forum bulletin board for families, friends and loved ones of those incarcerated. It is provided as a venue to gain and share knowledge necessary to assist in mental preparation and personal recovery.
You are not the first, and won't be the last to end up in this predicament. Learn how others have managed to get through it or feel free to just vent if you're having a bad day.
