BillingNetwork Grants Non-Exclusive License To Seventh Company For Its Patented Internet-Based Medical Billing System

BillingNetwork, a provider of medical billing solutions and services for the healthcare industry, has granted its seventh license to Mars Medical Systems, Inc. as part of a settlement of a patent infringement suit brought by BillingNetwork against Mars Medical Systems, Inc.

The present license agreement is part of a settlement of a patent infringement suit brought by Billingnetwork against Mars Medical Systems, Inc. Under terms of the settlement Billingnetwork dismissed the suit against Mars Medical Systems, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

U.S. Patent No. 6,374,229 is the subject of a mass licensing program by Billingnetwork. Billingnetwork is offering the patented technology to the medical billing industry for a nominal licensing royalty.
