Morlino F. Morris, Co-Founder and CEO of The Credit Alternative Group, writes a prescription for financial control and peace of mind in his new book.

Montclair, NJ (PRWEB) November 12, 2004 - Morlino F. Morris, Co-Founder and CEO of The Credit Alternative Group, LLC a business and consumer financial services firm, based in Montclair, NJ, writes a prescription for financial control and peace of mind in his newly released book titled A Prescription For Financial Health."

Morris lays out in the book an easy to understand plan detailing how individuals can take control of their finances. In writing the book he drew upon his extensive background in the financial and credit consulting business and retail pharmacy industry. I have filled prescriptions for customers with a variety of illnesses, and I believe many of these illnesses manifest as a result of stress due to financial issues," says Morris.

University of Iowa Healthcare web sites reveals nearly everyone feels stress on a daily basis. Stress is the body's response to challenging situations and circumstances. When stressed, the body produces chemicals to prepare for a "fight-or-flight" response. This gives us the energy to fight or run away in life-threatening situations. Even when there is no danger to our life, many situations trigger this response. If stressed too frequently, the body may suffer harmful effects. Morris says, A source of stress is finances related. If more people made better spending choices they would feel better. Often frequent headaches, stomach upset and nervous tension is the body responding to the financial challenges ones facing. Poor financial health can lead to poor physical health."

John Traier, Former Acting Commissioner and Director of the New Jersey Division of Banking says, "This book is a fine tool for the consumer in need of good basic financial information. It is the equivalent of preventative medicine that will save the average consumer from needing emergency room treatment."

Morris is a recipient of the "100 Most Influential" Award for economic development in NJ. He has been featured in The Star Ledger in the "Extraordinary People" section and on financial programs on cable television and radio including UPN 9 "Garden State Matters" Show.
