Sean King and Robert King of Quick Start Kids LLC today officially announced the debut of “The Wowzies, Volume I,” (http://www.wowzies.com) the first in an exciting new children’s educational video, DVD and CD series. The Wowzies are literally exploding onto the scene, already having won the prestigious “iParenting Media Award” with rave reviews, catapulting them into the same ranks with children’s video veterans Baby Einstein, The Wiggles and the Teletubbies.

The “Wowzies” consist of a colorful assortment of delightful, furry characters with names like Buddy, Jimbo, Rat, Sally, Peanut Butter and Jellyfish, who sing catchy, original songs that make learning math, reading, science and music fun for kids ages 1-6. The Wowzies series provides fast paced, high-energy programming full of bright colors, bouncy music, and stunning underwater photography that entertains while it magically transports children through over 15 different "learning adventures.” The children’s series has a film-like quality, and incorporates original underwater footage shot exclusively for the Wowzies in Borneo, the Galapagos Islands, and Hawaiian Islands, among other exotic locales.

iParenting Media, which determines the best products in the children’s media and juvenile products industry on an annual basis, awarded “The Wowzies, Volume I” with its iParenting Media Award for their 2004 Great Holiday Winter Call in the home video/DVD category. They couldn’t say enough about the Wowzies, with comments like, “It was a perfect tool to use with kindergarteners. It was fun, upbeat, and musical… kids could all learn, no matter what level they're at,” and “It is a lively and child-paced video which keeps attention of children,” and “Everything was educational as well as fun…”

These rave reviews are music to the ears of Wowzie creators and life-long friends Sean King and Robert King, who want children to have fun while learning. Each of the fun learning adventures in the Wowzies educational video series was designed to provide tools for a child’s development and educational growth. In order to ensure the Wowzies accomplished this goal, Quick Start Kids researched concepts that teachers have trouble getting across to young children. As a result, the Wowzies content incorporates catchy, easy-to-learn songs that make those lessons easier to understand. The songs cover letters, numbers, colors, shapes and basic words. They also introduce children to counting, science, social skills, and animals in the world around them, from orangutans to tarantulas.

“I’ve got kids, and I don’t want them watching anything that’s violent, based in shallow pop culture, or doesn’t stimulate their minds,” said Quick Start Kids co-founder Sean King. “I know parents will appreciate that all Wowzie products must meet our three basic criteria. First, it must be entertaining and fun. Second, it must have valuable educational content. Third, the production value must be top quality,” King added.

Quick Start Kids co-founder Robert King agreed, “Our goal is to provide parents total peace of mind, assuring them that any ‘Wowzie’ product they buy will be top quality, educational and 100% entertaining.”

Representing the latest high-tech advancements in film, the Wowzies series has a production value that is uncommon in the world of children’s educational videos. Sean King and Robert King’s creative talent and decades of experience in the technology side of the entertainment business has fueled their vision for the Wowzies. Consequently, the Wowzies series was shot with top-of-the-line equipment and includes realistic surround sound technology, giving the product a film-like quality that is uncommon in children’s programming.

“The Wowzies series has set a new standard in kid’s ‘edu-tainment,’ with one of the highest production values of any children’s educational video available on the market today, “ said Anne Sharp, founder of Sharp Concepts, the PR firm that is promoting the Wowzies. “The difference in quality compared to other children’s shows is obvious, and it means that parents and their kids will be able to enjoy the Wowzie products for years to come without any breakdown in picture or sound quality.”
