Queens Film Festival Showcases Homemade Talent-Director and Actor Are Queens Residents
Astoria resident Ted Ryan's short film "John Boorman Stole My Screenplay" will be featured at this year's 2004 Queens International Film Festival. Starring Bayside resident Gary D. Morgan, the picture is a silent comedy about a young screenwriter trying to get his script back when British filmmaker John Boorman steals it from his car.
(PRWEB) November 13, 2004 -- Astoria resident Ted Ryan's short film "John Boorman Stole My Screenplay" will be featured at this year's 2004 Queens International Film Festival. Starring Bayside resident Gary D. Morgan, the picture is a silent comedy about a young screenwriter trying to get his script back when British filmmaker John Boorman steals it from his car.

Ted Ryan- Ted is a Massachusetts born filmmaker who attended College of the Holy Cross, where he made his first short "Dishes." Shot, edited, and crewed completely by himself, the picture gained Ted acceptance to Emerson College's School of Visual Arts. While at Emerson, Ted won the 2002 EVVY Award for his screenplay Spacerats Killed JFK, while completing his thesis film, "Jimmy's The Fittest." In 2004, Ted moved to Queens after founding Modest House Productions in 2003. He is currently shooting his second short "Girls In Bathing Suits."
Gary D. Morgan- is a Queens based actor who has worked in film, television, theater, print, commercials and industrials. A retired N.Y.C. employee, he began performing two years ago and is currently starring in an interactive dinner production of The Soapranos. Gary continues to teach at New York City College of Technology in Brooklyn. In addition, he is a Bayside resident and a graduate of Queens College
The synopsis of the film is as follows:
When renowned British filmmaker and kleptomaniac John Boorman steals Tiki's first screenplay, a wild chase ensues through the streets of Manhasset, New York. Unfortunately, only one man can retain the script. The question is...who will it be?
