Electronics Supply Chain Association Furthers Commitment Toward Industry Education and Training
Organization sanctions workshop series designed to help industry professionals implement lean for the extended supply chain
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) November 15, 2004 -- The Electronics Supply Chain Association (ESCA) today announced that it has further strengthened a major tenet of its charter in the effort to create greater industry awareness and understanding of best practices across the entire supply chain. By sanctioning workshops produced by Vader Technologies, a leading provider of rapid-lean solutions the ESCA directs its constituents to meaningful training for the extended supply chain. The series of workshops focus on topics specific to the electronics supply chain ranging from lean manufacturing to outsourcing.
Since its founding, the ESCA has strived to expose its constituents to best practices while establishing the need for formal training. The Association believes training is critical to maintaining and advancing supply chain practices through reorganizations at the entry level, and as practitioners face the new demands of expanding requirements. Shortening cycles of learning is as critical in the area of training as it is in new product introduction. We have to practice what we preach and provide courses that make a difference now," said Dean Strausl, executive director for the ESCA.
The workshops offered by Vader Technologies fit this lean model for training, providing an innovative toolset and methodology designed to help industry professionals implement lean for the extended supply chain to impact top-line and bottom-line growth within six months, as opposed to three to five years with traditional lean approaches. Workshop topics include: Lean Material Replenishment Strategies, Effective Outsourcing Agreements: Securing a Competitive Advantage, Advanced Lean/Flow and Outsourcing to China & the Far East.
The ESCA prides itself in its ability to offer industry professionals unparalleled access and exposure to intellectual leaders and best practices, and the workshops provided by Vader Technologies are a direct reflection of this," said Strausl. The company is a pioneer in providing education and business process information to enable rapid-lean for the extended supply chain."
According to John Rumasuglia, president of Vader Technologies, the subject matter covered in the workshops is especially timely given the recent economic struggles and supply chain inefficiencies in the high tech and discrete manufacturing industries. Lean manufacturing principles as outlined in this series will help professionals across the electronics supply chain transform their operations to reduce cycle times and inventories dramatically," he said. I am extremely pleased to be recognized by the ESCA in its commitment to enhance greater industry understanding and recognition."
The ESCA also develops educational programs and similar resources for the industry at-large, including the ESCA Fusion Winter Symposium, Synthesizing Electronics Supply Chain Management, Planning & Technology, which takes place November 16-17, 2004 at the DoubleTree Hotel in San Jose.
