Paw-Wear(R) brand manufactures its own line of designer clothes and accessories geared toward consumers looking for a higher end product for their animal companions. Along with a selection of retail products sold online at, the company sells its fine line of products direct to the wholesale industry and retailers world-wide from the same site.

Paw-Wear® Inc. offers its own trademarked line of designer dog wear, catering to a more discriminating audience who has come to regard their canine friends more like, “members of the family” than just pets.

Coming out of New York with a team of designers whose penchant for detail and quality equally match a passion for fashion couture; this elite young group takes its lead from the company founders’ European elegance and taste. Their mission is to develop products that appeal to a market demographic which includes celebrities, finer retailers and chic pet boutiques around the world. Paw-Wear takes the fashion lead in the design and production of luxurious products whose market share targets the type of customers who want and can afford the very best for their animal companions.

The company launched their Fall/Winter Collection at where its retail customers can buy direct from Paw-Wear’s online retail store and has a password-protected area for wholesale business. The retail shoppers can access the wholesale warehouse to see the entire line of Paw-Wear’s products but cannot gain access to the volume pricing without an approved account.

The website itself is interactive and extremely interesting where visitors to the site can find out about the real life story of the company mascot Cookie, an adopted mixed breed shelter dog who was dubbed by the press in New York the “Hero Dog of Central Park” after he saved his owner from a vicious attacker. Cookie bit the attacker several times, drawing blood which helped New York City detectives capture and jail the perpetrator through DNA blood evidence collected from the crime scene.

Cookie was awarded The Elisabeth Lewyt Award by the North Shore Animal League America in May 2004 for saving his owner from a life threatening attack. In late July of 2004 Cookie was invited to receive the Scarlett Award for Animal Heroism at the fourth annual Lewyt Humane Awards Luncheon held November 3, 2004 at the Garden City Hotel in New York. The Scarlett Award is presented annually to the dog or cat who best emulates the incredible bravery shown by Scarlett, the young mother cat who saved her kittens from a raging fire. Through this prestigious presentation the North Shore Animal League America made known to the world Cookie’s exceptional heroism.

Paw-Wear, Inc. gave the North Shore Animal League America a special section on its website and posts a “Rescue of the Month”. The NSALA section of the site also links to their own online Cyber Kennel where visitors can see other dogs and cats available for adoption and learn more about the non-profit organizations many programs.

Paw-Wear has also created a section in their online retail store at called “Cookie’s Corner” where visitors coming from Cookie’s own newly created website appropriately named can purchase items sold to provide donations that help support the North Shore Animal League America and others who provide care for the thousands of homeless animals across the country. The Rescue a Cookie site encourages people to save an animal with its slogan, “the life you save may be your own” and is dedicated to Cookie with loving gratitude for his bravery. In Cookie’s voice it asks visitors to support Cookie’s mission to remember the countless thousands of shelter animals waiting for good homes.

Paw-Wear, Inc. through and wants to send a message that mixed breed dogs deserve the same “special treatment” as their pedigreed counterparts with their line of high fashion attire created “for pups who can have whatever they want” in mind.
