Angry Gun Lordz Near United Nations

Cast members of the anti-gun violence movie, Gun Lordz, as well as the Writer/Director, Jimmy Curry, are attending a special Gun Lordz event on November 18, 2004. "We're producing this movie because we're angry at the levels of gun violence that our so-called civilized society accepts as the norm. Thus we produced Gun Lordz as a comical look at a serious topic, Gun Violence." - On Thursday, November 18 at 6pm, Gun Lordz cast members, executives plan an exciting event at a Consulate near the United Nations. Invited guests include members of the media, local political figures, community leaders, youth organizers and special guests. "We thought it was fitting to hold this event near the United Nations since our action-comedy speaks directly to the use of guns to solve problems. The United Nations does so much positive in our world, we would like to encourage them to remain steadfast at lowering the amount of gun violence in our world."

(PRWEB) November 15, 2004 -- Cast members of the anti-gun violence movie, Gun Lordz, as well as the Writer/Director, Jimmy Curry, are attending a special Gun Lordz event on November 18, 2004. Invited guests include members of the media, local political figures, community leaders, youth organizers and special guests. "We thought it was fitting to hold this event near the United Nations since our action-comedy speaks directly to the use of guns to solve problems."

The Story: In a comical manner, Gun Lordz shows how the love of money leads many into a life of gun sales and crime. J. Curry, who produced the first Bahamian movie called "Filthy Rich Gangster", enjoys working on projects that are challenging to produce and that have a positive message for the target market. "I have been following Jimmy Curry's career for several years and hope I'm there when he wins his first Academy award", said B. Bellony, a Curry fan.

Gun Lordz was originally slated to be shot as a full length feature, but producers decided to shoot a short instead. "The response to our original script was extremely positive, so we decided to focus our financial and creative resources on a professional movie short", said A. Stein, of Gun Lordz, Inc.

Shooting originally began in August 2004, but Curry (Writer/Director) had to fire the original shooting crew due to their inability to deliver his technical demands. "Much of the original cast were concerned when I halted shooting after the first day of shooting, and was forced to dismiss the entire crew. Fortunately, within weeks, not only had we secured an outstanding new crew, but several additional awesome actors came on-board. Now shooting is finished, and we're looking forward to the November 18th event, which we are truly thankful to Consul General Ed Bethel, for facilitating the historic event." Gun Lordz is slated for release in 2007.

Future endeavors: The producers of Gun Lordz have already been approached by various writers and Producers regarding helping to spearhead other movies and television projects, including several music videos. "After our post-production of Gun Lordz is finished, we shall review all the new proposed projects and pursue those with that are the most commercial while maintaining a socially conscious feel."
