The Swan Chocolates Story:

Swan Chocolates flagship store and factory is located in Merrimack, NH. The company was founded by husband and wife Michael and Theresa Anderson, both chocolatiers whose passion and love for chocolate-making runs deep.

Originally, the Anderson’s dreamed of opening a small chocolate factory upon retirement. But while vacationing on a cold winter day in 2001, everything changed. Sitting in a small pub, they discussed their vision of a chocolate company – where it would be, what chocolate creations they would make, and what to name it. They scribbled it all down on a napkin, and decided right then that to wait another 30 years for their dream was out of the question.

In early 2003, Swan Chocolates opened its doors for the first time in Merrimack,NH., unveiling an incredible selection of New Hampshire-made Belgian Chocolate truffles and gourmet chocolates. The name, “Swan”, a family surname from Europe was chosen to represent the company.

What makes Swan Chocolates different is that they’re all handcrafted in small batches using only pure Belgian Chocolate, fresh all-natural ingredients such as vanilla beans from Madagascar, and no preservatives – ever.

It’s a “new tradition” in chocolate making that the Anderson’s plan to share with chocolate lovers around the world.
